and Territories Association
The 11th of April, the OCTA Ministerial Conference took place in Aruba, the host country as Chair of the OCT Association. It was held during the 21st OCT-EU Forum, organised under the aegis of Jozef Síkela, European Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development, and hosted by Mike Eman, Prime Minister of Aruba.
The 13 members of OCTA were in attendance. The financial situation of OCTA was discussed with concrete joint measures to strengthen the Association. Members approved and signed the OCTs Joint Declaration on the proposal of the next Overseas Association Decision including Greenland (DOAG) for 2028-2034, calling for a renewed and strengthened mutually beneficial partnership with the European Union that strongly reflects their specific individual characteristics, development aspirations, the importance of regional cooperation and their unique position. The Administrative Resolutions as well as the Political Declaration were adopted.
