Archipel . eu launches its new call!

Created by the Institut français  -which coordinates it-, OCTA and the l’Agência de Promoção da Cultura Atlântica  (APCA), and co-financed by the European Union, Archipel. eu is a pilot project dedicated to the promotion and support of culture in the Overseas Countries and Territories and the Outermost Regions of the European Union.

Today, Archipel. eu launches its 4th call for proposal: The  Cultural Networking and Cooperation Fund, open for applications from 1st March to 1st July 2022. This fund, worth €150,000, will support networking and cooperation projects from public or private structures implemented in the 13 Overseas Countries and Territories and the 9 Outermost Regions of the European Union.

 

What are the objectives of this call?

This call is structured around 4 key objectives, as follow:

  • creating or developing cultural exchanges between the outermost regions, overseas countries and territories and the whole of the European Union;
  • encouraging cooperation between organisations and sharing expertise and skills between professionals of these organisations in the cultural and creative sector of these territories;
  • promoting, preserving and fostering knowledge of the local cultures of the outermost regions and overseas countries and territories throughout the European Union;
  • exploring the use of digital technologies to promote culture and intercultural dialogue.

 

What types of projects are concerned?

Priority will be given to innovative projects focusing on:

  • the organisation of professional exchanges and events: such as exhibitions, fairs, festivals, showcases, training courses, conferences, seminars, debates, research and artistic collaboration, etc.;
  • the implementation of projects, tools and digital networks such as the development and promotion of information platforms, the launch or expansion of professional networks (such as networks of festivals, galleries and art centers, publishers); the creation of databases, websites dedicated to certain thematic and/or disciplinary cultural niches; the organisation of online conferences and seminars, webinars; the development of platforms, distance learning, virtual exhibitions and tours, videos, podcasts, digitisation of collections and archives, mapping of cultural operators, 3D modeling, online event tools for professional exchanges, live or recorded interactive performances, etc.

All disciplines are eligible: performing arts, music, visual arts, books, audio-visual works, design, fashion, architecture, digital creation, cultural heritage and others.
