The Commission launches an Erasmus+ application

The Commission launches an Erasmus+ application and starts the process of a digital European student card

The European Commission will launch a mobile application to support Erasmus students. This application will be available in all EU languages and will allow students to have a digital student card. This application will also be available to students from the OCTs who are eligible for the erasmus+ program.

Through this application, available on Android and iOS systems, students will be able to manage all the administrative procedures related to their Erasmus project, before, during and after their stay. The application also allows them to search for and select their destination university, as well as sign their educational contract.

In addition to the administrative formalities, students will also have access to recommendations related to their destination and even be put in touch with other participants

European student card

Students will have a European student card in digital format valid in all host countries. It should be available in 2021 for Erasmus+ beneficiaries only. This card will facilitate their access to services, museums, cultural activities and other offers reserved for students in their university and host country. The Commission assures that the card will fully comply with EU data protection legislation. It will also facilitate access to the online service provided at universities other than their own.
