OCTA participates in Launching webinar for the GTI Awards 2021

Sint Maarten

OCTA took part yesterday 13 May 2021 in the Launching webinar for the GTI Awards 2021, in which Mr Eddy Paris represents OCTA in the Panel of Judges. During the webinar, past winners offered an update on the progress made with their projects, as well as evidence of replicability and the activities carried out for their dissemination. Among them, the Reef Life Foundation gave an update on their project Reef rehabilitation following Hurricane Irma using biomimicking nanotechnology artificial reefs, based in Sint Maarten and winner of the GTI Awards 2020 for Sustainable Tourism.

The Greening the Islands awards have reached the 7th edition as a unique occasion to collect deserving projects from islands worldwide and to give them visibility and to reward the very best ones on energy, water, mobility, waste, agriculture, sustainable tourism and governance at the closing of the GTI e_convention in October 2021.
