Call for Young Ocean Advocates – Climate and Ocean

Are you between 16 and 30 years old?

Do you have a project in mind to raise awareness on climate change and the ocean in your community?

An innovative business plan to use marine resources in a sustainable way and combat climate change?

The #Youth4Ocean Forum is launching a new call for project proposals for Young Ocean Advocates , designed to promote the ideas of young change-makers in the fields of climate change and the ocean. Young European between 16-30 years old, including OCT citizens, are encouraged to apply to this call. The deadline for submission is December the 15th, 2021. Further calls for projects will open.

To apply for this call, the first step is to register as member of the Youth4Ocean Forum. The Youth4Ocean Forum is a free platform for young ocean changemakers. It provides opportunities to speak up, share your ideas, present your projects and connect with like-minded young people and experts all over Europe. Being registered at the Forum offers the possibility to submit a project and obtain accreditation of EU Young Ocean Advocates.

Examples of projects and ideas that can be submitted to this call:

  • Projects relevant to the Ocean and Climate topic: focusing on science education; or conservation; research, Blue Economy and entrepreneurship; marine energy; maritime transport; coastal tourism; performing or visual arts; sports; etc.
  • Bringing a solution to a marine and/or social challenge, promoting sustainable development, community engagement, good practice and behaviour; etc.
